Richard Rufus spent his entire career at Charlton Athletic, helping the club to two promotions in the Alan Curbishley era, including the 1998 play-off final win over Sunderland and the 2000 First Division title. A one-club centre-back through and through, he was later voted Charlton's greatest ever defender and inducted into their hall of fame.
