Michael Gray

Michael Gray came through Sunderland's academy and made 171 appearances for the club, becoming a regular at left-back through the 1990s, though he is also remembered for missing the decisive penalty in the 1998 First Division play-off final shootout against Charlton Athletic. He later spent four seasons at Blackburn Rovers.
