John Sheridan

John Sheridan was already a long-serving Sheffield Wednesday player by the time the Premier League arrived, and he continued to run the midfield from deep, scoring seven goals in 100 top-flight appearances between 1992 and 1997. Born in Manchester but capped for the Republic of Ireland, he closed out his playing days with a season at Bolton Wanderers before moving into a long managerial career.
