Steve Staunton spent the bulk of two decades at Aston Villa, either side of a spell at Liverpool, and won a League Cup medal with Villa in 1994 when they beat Manchester United in the final. A cornerstone of the Republic of Ireland side for years, he became the first Irishman to reach 100 caps, finishing with 102 in total, and later managed his country.
