Uwe Rösler became a cult hero at Manchester City in the mid-1990s, scoring 29 goals in 79 appearances and forming a lively strike partnership as the club fought against relegation. The German forward later had a brief spell at Southampton before his playing career wound down, and he went on to forge an even longer career afterwards as a manager.
