John Spencer was a fiery, undersized striker who became a cult hero at Chelsea, scoring 36 goals in 103 appearances between 1992 and 1997 and forming a lively partnership up front during Glenn Hoddle's rebuilding of the club. A full Scotland international, he moved on to Everton in 1997 before later continuing his career in the United States.
