Dietmar Hamann is best remembered for his role in Liverpool's 'Miracle of Istanbul', coming on at half-time of the 2005 Champions League final and helping change the shape of the team as they came back from 3-0 down to beat Milan on penalties. He spent seven seasons at Anfield after an early stint at Newcastle United, later adding Manchester City, and was a World Cup finalist with Germany in 2002.
